Assortment of tinned food, packets and bread.

Thank you for helping

Thank you so much to congregation members who have dropped off food and other items at Awataha Marae and other collection points. Across Tāmaki Makaurau, communities have supported neighbours affected by the flooding which followed the heavy downpours on and following Friday 27 January.

Our MP, councillors, local board members, Awataha Marae and a host of organisations did a remarkable job to ensure prompt support for affected whānau in our area.

Church members gathered and dropped off items, cleared drains, did clean up jobs and checked on folk around them. Good on you!

Onewa Christian Community is part of the Resilient Auckland North programme convened by ANCAD. We will soon be participating in writing a community resilience plan for the Kaipātiki area.
